Annual School Mass

The annual mass for the opening school year took place in Holy Cross Church on Monday 25th of September 2006. Canon Cotter Celebrated the mass. The theme of the mass was offering our gifts and talents for the benefit of the community. This was an opportunity for the community to welcome the first years that were invited in turn to receive an individual blessing from Canon Cotter. The first years also recieved a copy of Blessed Edmund Rice's prayer to symbolise their belonging to a Christian Brothers school and the spirit of inclusiveness, which that implied.

The Student Council initiation ceremony also took place during which the pupil's elected to represent the other students made a commitment do their best in the coming year. The student body, musicians and those who read prayers and reflections, all helped to make this a meaningful start to the school year. We hope that the spirit of this occasion will continue to be evident in our school community in the coming year.
