MS Readathon
The First Year, Second Year and Transition Year students ran yet another successful Readathon in support of MS Ireland. This annual reading fest encourages students to read a wide variety of books and support the newly established school library as well as library facilities in their local area. The Readathon involves a month of sponsored reading. Transition Year students undertook the task in conjunction with their History module, undertaking to read books on a particular area of history that interested them. Junior students read books from a wide variety of genres ranging from Science Fiction to Autobiographies. Reading began in mid October and had to be completed by the end of November. But there is no doubt that the students have renewed their interest in books as a result of this very unique fundraising event run annually for over a decade by the MS Society, Ireland. Congratulations to the students who raised a whopping 796 euro in support of MS Ireland.
