Leaving Certificate Vocational Programme
The Leaving Certificate Vocational programme (L.C.V.P.) is a full – Leaving certificate which combines academic study with a new and exciting focus on enterprise, work and the community.
The Preparation for the World of Work Link Module is designed to provide students with an insight into the dynamics of the workplace and with opportunities to develop their interpersonal communication and organisational skills. During the course of this programme, experiences in research, designing their own curriculum vitas and career investigations are some of the opportunities afforded.
The Enterprise Education Link module encourages students to develop qualities in terms of resourcefulness, creativity and self-confidence. Students are encouraged to interview enterprising people, investigate local enterprises and to set up their own enterprise projects as vehicles of learning.
The grades awarded in this programme are now recognised by Universities and other third level institutions for entry qualifications.
