Computer Education

Our computer room (Laboratory) is equipped with 21 up-to-date Pentium computers. All computers have access to the internet through an Eircom Broadband connection. The students are taught typing, word-processing, CAD, Data Base and Spreadsheets using Microsoft Office. This is in addition to using the internet as a great educational resource for all subjects and being able to communicate with other schools and institutions by e-mail.

The school has now been recognised as an ECDL testing centre. In effect this means that the school can now provide tuition in all of the ECDL modules and assess students’ competency in the range of computer skills involved. The European Computer Driving Licence is an internationally recognised I.T. qualification. The course is a computer based training assessment and testing programme designed to equip students with essential computer skills.
